A tremendous THANK YOU to everyone for COMING OUT again this year, everyone at Electric Owl Social Club for hosting, hospitality, and helping, to our guestsTwo Dudes In Love andFuturewife for their fantastic sets, for being so easy to work with, and for providing so much of their own time and energy helping spread the word and watching our back in the final hours (and days) before the big event! Also to Some Kind Of Music Blog and DailyXtra for giving us props, and, of course, to Hard Ton, who should have been able to join us that night – we kept you there in spirit!
Hopefully we’ll be able to announce our next event soon (looks like mid-September, at the moment), so stay tuned!

BUT WTF IS “TRUCKERDISCO”?!
Maybe not “disco” as you know it: Italo-disco, nu-disco, forgotten & future favourites, from Giorgio Moroder to James Murphy. Audio oddities, rare grooves, and subverted visuals.
ECLECTIC. INCLUSIVE. AFFORDABLE.
For Guys, grrls, hipsters, homos, str8s, folks of all bearish persuasions, killer mustaches, mustache riders, muff drivers, disco dancers, sweet romancers -maybe even you, too!
You’ll want to reserve yours quickly! Last year’s “Early-Bird” tickets sold out sooner than expected, and almost every advance ticket ordered online was been bought in pairs or more, so based on previous years, we expect ticket sales to move quickly, often many tickets at once! Order yours online and save some hassle – ADVANCE TICKETS WILL INCREASE IN PRICE AND EVENTUALLY SELL OUT again, so don’t wait! Once the venue hits capacity, the line-ups will start. Ticket-holders get priority in line until 11pm!
UPDATE: July 30, 11PM
Unfortunately, we learned earlier this week, that special guest HARD TON will not be able to join us this Sunday. We know they wanted to, we wanted them to, you wanted them to, but the US border didn’t want them to, so they couldn’t even kick off their West Coast Tour. (boooo!)
Nonetheless, we’ve still got the best Pride Sunday lineup TRUCKERDISCO could hope for, and in honour of Hard Ton’s valiant efforts to bring their fabulosity to Vancouver, we celebrate PRIDE in their honour!
Watch for future announcements for the latest on advance ticket availability, pricing, etc.

I can’t seem to find much info on Betty Aus, except for this mix by DJayBetty on MixCloud, but this edit of the chilled-out 1979 Moroder production is worth more than just a listen.
Speaking of not finding much info, what do YOU know about Suzi Lane? Well, I did not know this until reading her short Wikipedia entry:
“Soon after the release of the album, Lane was involved in a car accident in which her face was seriously injured by the broken windshield. Lane spent three years in seclusion at her home in Las Vegas recuperating. In New York, while visiting her sisters who worked as fashion models, Lane was spotted at a photo shoot for Essence magazine. She subsequently was represented by Ford Modeling and had contracts with Lane Bryant and Hanes.“
Could’ve been a lot worse, right?
